WALKING WITH GOD: Within Our Synod 
To do jointly that which we can’t do well separately--that’s why we walk together in this synod called WELS. We know that Christ has called his Church to share the Gospel with every nation. Are you personally ready to fulfill the Great Commission? Will you set aside your career aspirations and dedicate your life to sharing the Gospel? Will you leave behind your extended family and hometown to set out across the country to start a new church plant in Florida? What about leaving your whole country behind and heading to serve Jesus in Lusaka, Zambia? We have men and women ready to do just that in this group that walks together called the WELS, and you share a partnership with them. Pastor Jon Schroeder will lead this breakout in a discussion of the amazing ways we walk with God within our synod 
  
Jonathan Schroeder grew up in Bay City, MI.  He has served as the pastor of Faith, Sharpsburg, since its planting as a home mission in 1999. He currently serves as the chairman of the Board for World Missions, the First Vice President of the South Atlantic District, and the moderator of the Institute of Worship and Outreach. Past service includes 12 years as pastor-at-large on the synodical council, member of the executive committee of the Hymnal Project, consultant for the Schools of Worship and Outreach, and has served on various other synodical boards and committees.
