Rev. Michael NitzREV. MICHAEL NITZ will challenge us to do family/personal devotions to keep us rooted in Christ. He is an Arizona native who grew up on the beaches of southern California and began his family in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains. He followed in the pastoral footsteps of his father (former AZ-CA district president) and grandfather (former missionary among the Arizona Apaches). He began his ministry by serving a mission church in suburban Colorado before being called to Ohio to pastor a historic, downtown church and school. In 1998 Pastor Mike was called to be a church planter. Along with his wife, Kim, and his two youngest children, he returned to his native state to knock on hundreds of doors and drink coffee at many kitchen tables-- aspects of starting a new church and school in the Phoenix area. In 2011 Bethany Lutheran Church, Saginaw called him to retool the congregation into an outreach focused church and preschool. Mike recently accepted the invitation to serve on the Men Alive! Steering Committee.
