Rev. Kurt Ebert (Keynote Speaker)
REV. KURT EBERT will address the sensitive subject of suicide and grief since he knows the pain firsthand. He will also have a special presentation for the Young Men in attendance. Kurt has been a WELS pastor for 34 years, serving exploratory and established congregations in Nebraska, Colorado and Wisconsin. He currently serves at Christ Alone in Mequon, WI, just down the hill from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. His other passions include camping, fishing, hunting, and woodworking, and working on his "happy place" in the northwoods of Wisconsin. He and his wife Connie have been blessed with four children and two granddaughters.
"I'm honored and excited to present on the issue of our rootedness in Christ. For people who believe that a relationship with God is everything in life, and that this relationship happens through faith in Jesus, and this faith happens through connection with the news of Jesus--our spiritual roots in that gospel are just as vital as roots are to a healthy tree. I hope to help the men gathered here make connections that will keep their faith solidly embedded in God's powerful grace."
