Rev. Jacob HaggREV. JACOB HAAG will better equip us to stay rooted in Christ while we face the various worldly philosophies that surround us. He serves as pastor at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor, MI, and as campus pastor at the University of Michigan. He graduated from Martin Luther College in 2010, studied in Leipzig, Germany from 2010-2011 at our sister synod's seminary, and graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 2015. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree from Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia. He married Megan in Escondido, California in 2016, and they welcomed a newborn daughter, Charlotte, to their lives this past year.
“I enjoy classical music concerts at Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor, spending time with my wife in downtown Ann Arbor over coffee and cocktails, golfing in the summer, traveling around the world, and trying to keep up with our daughter. I love the city of Ann Arbor, its university, and discussing deep, philosophical questions with its students. I embrace the challenge of articulating Christianity in a skeptical, academic context and want to give people the confidence to stand on their own against the toughest objections from our world's philosophies, expose their inconsistencies, and answer with the most robust worldview found in Christ.” |
